Do Not Feed Arkansas Wildlife

Posted on Sep 20, 2007 by admin in Wildlife | 0 Comments

Besides being against Arkansas law, a wild animal’s natural diet provides all the nutritional requirements it needs to survive. Most “people treats” cannot be properly digested by wild animals whose digestive systems have developed over thousands of years. Feeding wildlife causes them to congregate and increases the risk of spreading disease, fighting among themselves and attracts predators who prefer another wild animal as a snack instead of people food. When a wild animal associates food with humans, the animal loses it’s fear of humans and usually ends up the subject of a nuisance wildlife call.
